"“We added it up” parallels politicians, lovers, and flying neutrinos. It seemed like the beginning of a collection of songs that explored things like the relationships between seemingly opposing forces, or a situation that appears to be one thing but in reality is another, our capacity to feel many emotions at once, or pondering the relationship between life and death. Like many of us, I’m asking the same old questions: what it means to be alive at this time in history, how to define meaning, how to love, how to be brave, and how to get my instruments into a small suitcase."

Το "Nine times that same song" των Love is all βρίσκεται στην περσινή λίστα μου, ενώ το θαυμάσιο "Angel B" των Film είναι εκτός συναγωνισμού (θα σαρώσει τον ανταγωνισμό) μέσα στις σπουδαιότερες κυκλοφορίες της χρονιάς. Από αύριο (;) στα δισκοπωλεία και ο νέος δίσκος των αγαπημένων μου Closer. Επιτέλους η αγωνία μας φτάνει στο τέλος.

Συνήθως οι δισκογραφικές εταιρείες υμνούνε τα συγκροτήματα που έχουν υπογράψει σε αυτές. Στη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση είναι αδύνατον να μη συμφωνήσεις απόλυτα με το παραπάνω απόσπασμα του δελτίου τύπου της Asthmatic Kitty από την οποία κυκλοφόρησε ίσως ο σπουδαιότερος δίσκος για το 2005, το "Illinois" του Sufjan Stevens. Το "Bring me the workhorse" αναμένεται στις 22 Αυγούστου και είναι τι ομορφότερο έχω ακούσει τον τελευταίο καιρό. Η φωνή της Shara Worden λάμπει. Αδύνατον να αντισταθείς στις μαγικές συνθέσεις της. Αν οι σειρήνες υπήρξαν ποτέ σίγουρα θα τραγουδούσαν κάπως έτσι. Σπεύδω να ξανακούσω το ονειρώδες "Dragonfly" και τα άλλα φωτεινά διαμάντια του δίσκου της.
