"For you the world feels so brand new, when you cut me like you do"
Ο ορμητικός άνεμος τη απόγνωσης, των αποσπερινών σκέψεων, των σφοδρών ανεκπλήρωτων επιθυμιών, της απογοήτευσης, του πόνου που καταφθάνει λίγο πριν της αυγής το λευκό φέγγος, όπως εκφράζεται μέσα από τους αποπνικτικά σκοτεινούς ήχους της drum machine και των synths και φυσικά, μέσα από τις αισθησιακά ρομαντικές διηγήσεις της Camella Lobo αναμένεται να βροντήξει τις πόρτες μας στις 23 Σεπτεμβρίου, δηλαδή τρεις ημέρες μετά την πολυαναμενόμενη εμφάνισή της στο Fuzz Club. Η πρώτη ολοκληρωμένη δισκογραφική κυκλοφορία της ως Tropic of Cancer έχει τίτλο 'Restless idylls' και είναι βέβαιο ότι θα συγκλονίσει.
Tropic of Cancer's Camella Lobo: "I wanted the record to feel like a collection of scenes or stories. That's where the idea of bringing in the word "idylls" comes in. Idylls are short poems that are known as snapshots. If someone says it's an idyllic time, it's these beautiful pastoral scenes."
"They're poems about love, but snapshots of a moment. I was trying to come to terms with these scenes in life and these things that we see as natural parts of human existence. Each song tries to describe these scenes, so it is soundtrack-y or cinematic in that sense."
Camella Lobo: "As much as I try to make music about other subjects, I honestly don’t feel anything unless I am writing about loving and losing and living and dying."
